Sermon recap:  This Sunday we launched our contemporary Christmas music season and wow, did the Spirit of Christmas move!

God tends to use the insignificant to create significant transformation. God foretold various signs and conditions through His prophets that spoke of things mankind should watch for so that the Messiah would be believed and recognized. The Old Testament writings were completed in 450 B.C. (written hundreds of years before Jesus was born) The OT contains over 300 prophecies that Jesus fulfilled through His life, death and resurrection. Mathematically, the odds of anyone fulfilling this amount of prophecy are staggering. Put it this way:
* 1 person fulfilling 8 prophecies: 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000
* 1 person fulfilling 48 prophecies: 1 chance in 10 to the 157th power
* 1 person fulfilling 300+ prophecies: …just say Jesus!

Challenge for the week: Identify someone in your life that seems “insignificant” to you yet resonates in your heart. Pray for God to reveal the meaning of that person in your life.
