The title of the message Sunday was “The Great Advent-ure.” Advent is a time when we prepare for the return of Jesus and focus on our faith. Jesus replaced the law with love. He brought worth to the weary and redemption for all of us. Our faith in Jesus Christ is a great adventure! Advent is a direct message to you from God. If you forget that you were born to be an adventurer, then you may spend your life on hold. Sickness, grief and the pain of this world are wilderness adventures that many of us confront. He may be calling you into a vulnerable and messy area of your life. God greets those adventures who courageously step into the wilderness of life with grace. The call of Advent is a call to get ready, be prepared and embrace your faith.
